The Nottingham Post’s Environmental awards 2016 in partnership with The wildlife trust, celebrates the achievements of truly remarkable Environmental initiatives that make our community a better place. Hosted at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in October, it is the biggest awards show of its kind in Nottingham.

Once again this year, we are on a search for Nottingham’s finest designed to recognise and celebrate the inspiring activities that are helping to improve the environment and encourage sustainability. Our awards will honour outstanding efforts and achievements, good building and design, innovations and improvements. We hope the launch of these awards will raise awareness of the need for better environmental performance by business and industry. We are looking for individuals, schools, community, groups and business who have made a difference over the last 12 months  from all over Nottinghamshire.

If you, your business or local community has introduced positive changes that really make a difference to the quality of life in our region, not only for us but for generations to come, then you should enter the awards. By doing so you may inspire others to follow in your footsteps. Your project needs to demonstrate a positive contribution to the environment through, for example, caring for the natural environment, improving use of resources, reducing pollution or increasing environmental understanding.

We will then be recognising and celebrating the achievements and outstanding success of such individuals and businesses at a glittering awards ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Wollaton Street, Nottingham on Thursday, October 20, 2016. The awards ceremony will commence at 6:45pm with a red carpet drinks reception followed by a three course dinner and then the awards.
